Whilst mucking out in the depths of winter and struggling with an overfull wheelbarrow, we decided that there must be an easier way. We looked at the different vehicles on the market but nothing seemed suitable, we found that most are heavy and difficult to operate and all were expensive to buy. The evolution of the 'hippobuggy' had begun!.
We developed a utility vehicle that had a tipper back and used this around the stable yard and paddocks for mucking out, poo-picking, fencing and in fact anywhere you would normally use a wheelbarrow. We tested it for a year through all-weather conditions and found it invaluable. It is so versatile and easy to operate and can be used by anyone, it is quiet, eco-friendly and economical .
Battery operated the 'hippobuggy' costs just £1.00 to charge and gives in excess of 5 hours running time. The standard 'hippobuggy' is supplied complete with tipper back, all-terrain rear tyres, dedicated charger unit and tow bar for just £1,750.00.
Based on the standard tipper we have since developed our 'hippo Offerings' which can be purchased seperately such as a water-carrier, galvanized mesh sides for carrying bulky items such as hay and a feed & weed attachment all of which can be operated from inside the vehicle.
