Chine House Veterinary Hospital
Chine House Equine Hospital is the largest equine practice in the East Midlands. It is staffed by 11 equine veterinary surgeons including a European registered specialist in equine surgery, 1 holder of the RCVS certificate of equine practice and 1 holder of both the RCVS certificate of equine practice and the RCVS certificate of Equine Medicine (Stud Medicine), 4 fully qualified veterinary nurses, 1 trainee equine veterinary nurse and 1 groom.
The equine hospital was developed in the late 1990's to include a purpose built equine operating suite, padded anaesthetic induction and recovery boxes, and a large examination room.
The hospital was further expanded last year to include purpose built isolation facilities, extra stabling (bringing the total number to 19) and indoor stocks for standing surgical and medical procedures. We also have paddock area for inpatient use.
We have an experienced team of surgeons, headed by Greg Quinn, a European registered specialist in equine surgery. He is currently the only ECVS specialist surgeon working in full time practice in the East Midlands.
Chine House is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons tier 3 accredited small animal and equine hospital - this is the highest level of accreditation available, and demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest standard of veterinary care.
We have 19 stables including 2 dedicated isolation stables in a separate isolation block and a number of large mare and foal boxes.
Our experienced, caring team of nurses provides 24 hour monitoring of all our inpatients. There are five post and rail fenced paddocks for in-patient use. We have two large examination rooms one of which has indoor stocks.
We cover a large part of the East Midlands, our normal visit charge applies to all visits within 18 miles of the practice. We offer a variety of visit options, including discounts for multiple clients. We aim to provide continuity of care wherever possible. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
